November 4, 2014 Gubernatorial Election

Voter Registration:

The regular registration period will end Tuesday, October 7.

Grace-period registration is open October 8 – November 3, 2014 at a participating location (click here for location details). Grace period registrants will either vote on touch screen voting equipment immediately after registering or by absentee paper ballot. Grace period registrants are not eligible to vote at the polls on Election Day or take part in Early Voting.

Mail-In Ballots:

Any registered suburban Cook County voter may apply for a mail-in ballot. It is no longer necessary to provide a reason. To obtain mail ballot application, visit or the Wheeling Village Hall. Once an application has been submitted to Cook County, a ballot will be mailed to the address indicated on the application. The last day to request a mail ballot is October 30 and absentee ballots must be postmarked by November 3, 2014.

Early Voting:

Early voting will take place October 20 – November 2, 2014. For a full list of early voting locations click here. Nearby locations include the Arlington Heights and Northbrook Village Halls.
